Owners are being to stay alert as cases are increasing of the SCI illness that occurs after dogs have been walking in woodland areas .

Cases of the illness are usually seen between August & November , Clinical signs of the illness are  lethargy , vomiting  and diarrhoea  within 24 to 72 hours of walking in woodland. Dog owners are advised to seek immediate veterinary advice should they see these signs in their dog following a woodland walk .
